Hi Mark I think you are right in re-considering the review once you have taken in the initial shock. We have to remember that a review, at the end of the day, is an opinion. Yes, it can be valued but it is also just one person's thoughts out of many. I am not saying they are invalid, but there really is no right or wrong. As an artist, if we are to read our reviews I think it is firstly important to keep a sense of humor about them- good or bad! Secondly, take them on board, but don't forget to try and then take a slightly more objective view on what has been said.
